WHAT’S THE GAME PLAN?
THE Q1 GAME PLAN FOR 2025
Q1 of 2025 is just one day away. I know it’s easy to get caught up in things that didn’t go well in 2024 or compare your wins to other people's wins, but the past is the past, and 2024 is gone.
If 2024 didn’t go as planned, you have the power to make changes this new year. Make this the year you lock in with yourself.
In today's game plan I’ll share 4 things to start the year strong. ⬇️
1.START SMALL & EASY
There’s no need to go full speed in Q1. I know it’s a new year, and you want to start with your foot hard on the gas, but hear me out.
The easier something is to start, the easier it is to stay consistent. Let me give you an example: most people set fitness goals at the beginning of a new year. Instead of saying, "I’m going to the gym for two hours every day," why not start with three times a week for 30 minutes?
The same goes for creative goals. Instead of saying, 'I’m going to create a new piece of content every day,' try starting with one a week. Although one piece of content might sound easy in the beginning, it might get hard to come up with new ideas every day.
I’m not saying it can’t be done, I’m just saying it might be easier to stay consistent if you start small and build your way up.
By starting small and easy, you give yourself the chance to build momentum and develop habits that stick.
2. FOCUS ON ONE THING
The reason I’ve failed at my New Year’s resolutions in the past is because I tried to do too many things at once. In Q1 of 2025, focus all your energy on just one thing.
When you have too many goals, it’s easy to lose focus and not give your full attention to what’s actually working. You might quit or move on to something else when one goal gets tough, instead of figuring out how to make it work.
It’s normal to want to try many things, especially if you enjoy doing different things. But when it comes to real change in one area, it takes focus.
I've struggled with trying to juggle too much at once and realized that focusing on too many things never helped me see real growth.
I remember reading a quote that said, “It’s possible to achieve many goals, but not all at once.” That really changed my perspective on focus.
If your goal for Q1 is to try something new or start a new project, focus only on that for a while.
3. FOCUS ON THE HABIT NOT THE RESULTS
Sometimes, we focus too much on the results and not enough on how to get there. We say, "I want to make $10,000 next month" or "I want to save $10,000 by the end of the year." But instead of just focusing on the results, we should focus on the habits that will help us get there.
Why? Because results don’t just happen on their own. They come when we do the work. If we focus on the right habits, the results will follow.
Think about it: always setting new goals won’t bring the changes we want. What brings change is putting in the work and making small lifestyle changes that become a part of our daily routine.
Habits are the secret to the success we want to see in our life. The more we practice and put in the work, the more we improve. Instead of looking only at the finish line, focus on the steps you take every day.
Because when we focus on habits, the results will simply take care of themselves.
4. LOCK IN ON Q1 ONLY
If you’ve been subscribed to the newsletter, you know I mentioned this last year, but I had to bring it up again because I think it’s so important. So, number 4 is just a copy-and-paste from last year, but I still hope it helps. ⬇️
Just like in sports, when you’re playing in the first quarter, you’re not thinking about what you’ll do in the fourth quarter, right? By the time you get to Q3 or Q4, you might need to adjust the game plan. For now, focus on the things you need to accomplish in Q1 to lay the foundation for a successful 2025.
That’s it. That’s the game plan.
In 2025, dream BIG AF and don’t give up on yourself.
You got this sh*t.
Remember, 1% better every day, and small wins are WINS!
