WHAT’S THE GAME PLAN?
My Playbook for Overcoming an 'Impossible' Setback

Last September, a devastating injury shattered my leg and my career path. After seeing over 30 doctors, I realized the standard playbooks didn’t apply to my situation. To navigate what many called an "impossible" recovery, I had to throw out the old game plan and create a new one from scratch.

This is the playbook that’s getting me through the toughest fight of my life.

Here are three frameworks from that playbook ⬇️

1. THE 'CARPLAY VS. MAPQUEST' PROTOCOL:
Your Team is Your Most Important Play Call.

Your team is your most important decision. I learned this when my recovery stalled until I replaced the 'MapQuest Passengers' on my medical team—those who only follow old maps—with 'CarPlay Co-pilots' who could adapt to my unique situation in real-time. In any high-stakes venture, you must surround yourself with people who can innovate and win with you, not just give you directions based on yesterday's traffic.

2. THE 'RAISE THE FLOOR' PRINCIPLE:
Progress Isn't a Peak, It's a Baseline.

Forget chasing new personal bests; the real key to sustainable growth is to 'raise the floor.' My physical therapy is a daily grind, but the goal isn't a new record every session—it's ensuring my starting point is higher than it was yesterday. By consistently raising your minimum standard through daily, unglamorous work, your worst day eventually becomes better than most people's best. That’s an elite mindset.

3. THE 'TAKE 24' RULE:
Win the Pause, Win the Decision.

In a world that rewards speed, the smartest decisions require a deliberate pause.
My rule is the 'Take 24': for any important, non-urgent decision, I create a 24-hour space to remove emotion from the equation. This isn't passive waiting; it's an active process of getting out of my own head and talking to my 'CarPlay' team. This simple discipline is a superpower for gaining the clarity needed to make a confident choice, not just a fast one.

That’s the game plan.

PS: If you're entering a season of transition, I created something for the journey. As a former pro athlete and now a business owner, I've learned that success requires the same things: a clear mission and a strong playbook. I poured those lessons into an ebook to help you find your purpose and lead your life with the clarity of a thriving business.
