QUOTE OF THE WEEK
WHAT’S THE GAME PLAN?
THE Q3 GAME PLAN OF 2025
The Golden State Warriors have long been known as one of the greatest third-quarter teams in basketball.
That got me thinking, what if we approached the third quarter of the year the same way they approach the third quarter of a game?
What makes the Warriors so good after halftime? And how can we tap into that energy?
Now, I don’t have all the Warriors’ secrets to their third-quarter success, but I put together a list of 3 things that might help you make the most of Q3.
Here are 3 ways to win your Q3 like the Warriors ⬇️
1.HALFTIME ADJUSTMENTS
We’re at halftime. If we keep doing what didn’t work in the first half, guess what?
We might lose.
This is your moment to adjust. If something didn’t work in Q1 or Q2, don’t drag it into Q3. That’s how you fall behind. Pivot, tweak your game plan, and try a new approach.
Smart adjustments are the key to winning the third quarter.
2.TRIM THE DEAD LEAVES
By now, as we’re halfway through the year, you should have a good feel for what gives you energy and what drains it.
Same goes for your goals. What’s moving you forward? What’s holding you back?
Think of your life like a plant. A plant can’t thrive if it keeps pouring energy into dead leaves that no longer serve it. Once those are trimmed, it can focus all its energy on new growth.
Trim the dead leaves. Double down on what fuels you. Let go of what doesn’t.
3.SHIFT YOUR PACE
When teams play the Warriors, they often come out swinging, using up tons of energy just to keep up in the first half.
By the third quarter, the Warriors pull away. Why? Because the other team is gassed... and the Warriors still have fuel.
Same goes for you. If you’re already burned out by Q3, you were probably doing too much in Q1 and Q2.
Push yourself, yes, but pace yourself. Leave room to finish strong in Q3 and close out Q4 like a champ.
That’s it.
That’s the game plan.
It’s still too early in the game year, don’t take your foot off the gas.
Remember, 1% better every day, and small wins are WINS!
