WHAT’S THE GAME PLAN?
Find Your Inner Olympian

Honestly? If watching the Olympics hasn’t motivated you to go out and chase your dreams, you’re watching it wrong. Let me tell you why.
Watching the Olympics is more than entertainment; it can inspire you in your life’s journey. You don’t have to be an athlete to learn valuable lessons about life through the Olympics.
I don’t know about you, but watching the Olympics these past couple of weeks, I couldn’t help but think about how many stories were inspirational. While the Olympics are entertaining, I think there’s so much more we can take from them.
I hope today’s newsletter inspires the Olympian in you (even if you’re not an athlete).
Here are three things the Olympics can teach you that you can apply to your life: ⬇️
1.Everyone goes through something. You CAN overcome adversity.
Noah Lyles grew up with severe asthma.
Simone Biles took a break from competing for two years after the Tokyo Olympics.
Suni Lee was diagnosed with kidney disease in 2023.
One thing I took from listening to all these stories is that everyone has overcome obstacles and that life really is about overcoming adversity. When you accept that challenges are a part of life, you’ll start to view them as opportunities to grow and become a better version of yourself.
All three of these athletes came back stronger after their difficulties. Whatever obstacle you may be facing right now, believe that you can come back stronger.
Ask yourself this: What obstacles am I facing right now, and how can I turn them into opportunities for growth?
2.Tap into your strengths.
Olympic athletes participate in sports that are based on their strengths. They don’t go to the Olympics trying to participate in every event. They know the power of focusing on their strengths. For example, Usain Bolt, known for his speed, didn't attempt to compete in long-distance running events. He focused solely on sprinting and became the fastest man in the world.
Far too many times, I have made the mistake of focusing on too many things at once and not getting better at any of them. This approach spreads your energy and keeps you from doing your best on one thing. Instead, find your unique strengths and commit yourself to getting even better at them.
Ask yourself this: What’s my strength, and how can I double or triple down on it? Whether it’s a talent, a skill, or a passion, concentrating your efforts on your strengths will lead to greater success and fulfillment.
3.You’re never too old or too young.
LeBron James is the oldest player to be on the Men’s US Basketball Olympics team.
Simone Biles is the second oldest woman to win the Olympic all-around in history.
I know sometimes people think that they need to stop chasing their dreams after a certain age because they might think they’re too old. But why? Who cares? Who even said there’s an age limit to following your dreams?
Time is going to pass anyway. The choice is yours: spend your time doing something meaningful to you, or let it pass by while doing something that doesn’t fulfill you.
That’s it. That’s the game plan for this week.
I hope this helps motivate the olympian in you.
Remember, 1% better every day, and small wins are WINS!
