AFFIRMATION OF THE WEEK

I do enough. I have enough. I am enough.

WHAT’S THE GAME PLAN?
5 life lessons from the Knicks run

That Knicks run was special.

I don't know about you,
but there was something about that entire historic run
that made me believe anything is possible.

To many, this wasn't just another finals. It was a story about belief, resilience, sacrifice, teamwork, and what can happen when you refuse to quit.

There's so much to be inspired by and so many life lessons we can take from it (yes, even if you're not a Knicks fan).

Here are 5 life lessons from the Knicks run ⬇️

On Being Down

In Game 4 of the Finals, they erased a 29-point deficit and won. The crazy part? Some people didn't even finish watching the game because they thought it was over.
The difference with a championship mentality is they didn't think it was over. Even when they were down 29.

What I learned is that we can’t fear being down.
This wasn't the first time the Knicks were down this season and came out with a win.
What makes us resilient is being down and trying to bounce back.
We stop growing when we're down and choose to stay there.

The Knicks taught us the importance of resilience.
They found a way, focused on one play at a time, and didn't quit.

Yes, sometimes it's hard to stay in the fight.
But keep going anyway because you never know when life is setting you up for your own 29-point comeback.

On Outside Noise

The Knicks heard it all and were counted out many times this year.
"Too small." "Too this." "Too that."
You might be all of those things in someone else's eyes.
But what are you in YOUR eyes?
That's what matters. That’s the only thing that matters.
The Knicks knew exactly what they were capable of, even if others didn't see it.

On Teamwork

You know what they say: teamwork makes the dream work.
I agree, but I also think friendship makes the dream work.

You can tell these guys genuinely care about each other.
No ego. No jealousy.
Just hooping, being the best version of themselves,
supporting one another, and chasing the same goal.

Like the quote says,
"If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together."

One of my favorite moments was watching Brunson embrace his father afterward.

This wasn't just his win. It was his father's too.
Not just because he's his coach, but because of all the years he spent believing in him, supporting him, and helping him become the player he is today.
His father was part of the dream long before it became a reality.

This was a reminder that the people who support us,
believe in us, and help us along the way are part of the win too.

What can we learn from this?

Success is communal.
Build with others.
Support others.

Life is more fun when you're sharing the wins alongside people you care about.

On Sacrifice

A lot of times, we want instant gratification.

We want what gives us satisfaction right now.

But like Brunson showed us, sometimes a sacrifice today can lead to something bigger and better tomorrow.

Sacrifice + Patience = Success

On Hart

No matter what you're pursuing in life, your heart has to be in it.
Because when things get hard, heart is what keeps you going.

Yes, talent is important. And skill matters.
But heart is often the difference between giving up and finding a way.

That’s it. That’s the game plan.

Remember, 1% better every day, and small wins are WINS!
