WHAT’S THE GAME PLAN?
“Messiness is part of the journey”

The Game Plan today comes in the form of a quick story.

I’m going to keep it short. So, long story short, I needed to create a deck.
Yeah, I know… I didn’t have one.
You’re probably thinking, wtf.
So anyway, I hit up a friend who had knowledge on the subject,
got some advice, and got to work.

One of the questions I needed to answer was:
What is Ball Club?

Instantly, my mind said…
wtf is Ball Club?

I had to pause for a second.

A page? Yeah… but not just a page.
A mood board? Yeah, basically.
Music? Yes.
Sports? Yes.
Culture? Yes.

But Ball Club is more than all of that.
It’s a club created for doers, believers, dreamers.
Yes, it lives at the intersection of sports, music, and culture.
But most importantly, the mission is for people to believe in themselves and their own magic.

Our mission isn’t just to post.
It’s to remind people to be their best self and believe in what they’re capable of.

Because one thing I know for sure is…
everyone has their own magic AND the ability to create their own.

So why am I sharing this random story?
Because I realized something while creating this deck…

It’s not that I didn’t know what Ball Club was.
Of course I knew.
I just never took the time to put it into words and that was a mistake.

Through this, I learned some lessons that I want to share,
that might help you on your journey.

5 Things I Learned (So You Don’t Have to Wait Years)

1. Writing brings clarity

You learn where you are, where you’re going, what you want,
and what you don’t want.

Your fears, your strengths… all of it shows up when you write.
The clarity we’re looking for is in the thoughts we’re not putting down on paper.

You might already know what you’re building.
But if you can’t explain it, you might not fully understand it yet.

Taking the time to put it into words, even if it’s messy,
is what can make everything start to click.

2. You won’t find answers by waiting

Answers, just like opportunities, don’t just fall on our lap.
We have to go out and find them, and create them.

3. Lean into the messiness

It’s part of the process.

Nothing starts clear, it becomes clear with time.
Clarity comes from doing, failing and starting again, over and over.

At first, I didn’t have all the answers, and honestly, I still might not.
But embracing the messiness is what will eventually lead you to the path you’re looking for.

You have to be willing to create before everything makes sense.

4. Stay ready so you don’t have to get ready

If you want something to be a business, treat it like one from day one.

5. Get clear on your foundation
Your pillars. Your values. Your vision.

Everything should lead back to that.

But if you don’t take time to reflect on them,
it’s easy to get lost along the way (like I did).

Take time to check in with your foundation.
This is not just good for business but in life.

What are your pillars?
What gets you up every day?
What keeps you going?

Is it family? Relationships? Your goals?

Once you’re clear on that, the right opportunities will present themselves.
Because in a world full of shiny objects, it’s easy to get distracted.

But when your foundation is clear and solid,
everything that’s meant to fall into place will fall into place.

That’s it. That’s the game plan.
