AFFIRMATION OF THE WEEK

I grow through what I go through.

WHAT’S THE GAME PLAN?
25 Lessons Learned in 2025 Pt. 1

This year, I made it a goal to write down some of the things I learned throughout the year, instead of waiting until the end of the year to reflect.

Here is part 1 of the 25 lessons I learned in 2025.

1. Slow motion doesn’t mean no motion.
It’s better to put in a little every day and keep that momentum than to go all in at 100% for a week, burn yourself out, and then need weeks to get that momentum back. Some days you’ll put in a little more, some days a little less.
Both make you better.

2. Writing can change your life.
I don’t really care if this sounds corny, honestly. But writing has been helping me find myself again. You have the answers you’re looking for, they’re already in you.
In 2026, start writing.
Actually, if you can, start tonight.

3. Most people

quit.
don’t start.
don’t stay in it long enough to see results.
wait for the “perfect” moment.

But all that is good news for you,
because if you just do it a little longer, you’ll see results.

4. There is unlimited opportunity.
The market isn’t saturated.
The thing you’re trying to do, there is space for you,
space for me, space for all of us.
Someone else being on the same path as you doesn’t take away from your blessings or opportunities.

5. What’s Your Biggest Fear?
This year, I realized my biggest fear is staying in a job I hate my whole life. My biggest fear is not owning my time.
My biggest fear is not having freedom.
If I ever think about quitting, I remember my fear
and that’s what keeps me going.
What’s your biggest fear? Use that as motivation.

6. Plan in 12 Weeks
New Year’s resolutions don’t work, at least not for me.
I’m reading a book called The 12 Week Year, and I’ve gotten more done in 3 weeks using this method than I did in the first 3 months of 2025. I’m done creating long lists of New Year’s resolutions. Instead, I’m focusing on one goal for 12 weeks and going all in on that.

7. You don’t have to start on level 1.
You can start at level 10 instead of level 1.
How? Well, there are already people doing what you want to do successfully, and most of them either share their secrets for free or sell them. Learn from them, see what works, and figure out how to apply it to yourself.

8. People who are not that smarter than you are making it work.
There are people doing what you want to do who are just as skilled as you, or even less. And yet, they’re making it work. Simply put, it’s because they made the choice to take action and figure it out along the way.

9. "Everything in this world is rigged in your favor, if you choose to believe so.”
I saw this post from one of my favorite online writers, Dickie Bush, and I wish I had realized this sooner. I wish I had realized that the universe is in my favor and rooting for me. I used to think everything was working against me, like the universe was somehow out to get me. It’s incredible how many opportunities for growth I noticed once I made this mindset shift, and how many challenges suddenly became lessons for growth instead.

10. Give Yourself Grace.
It’s always, “You’re not doing enough.”
“Look at where you could be if you had done X.”

It’s never, “You’re doing great with what you have.”
That’s shitty.
This year, I learned it’s important how I talk to myself.

Give yourself the same grace you give others.
Be your biggest fan, not your biggest enemy.

11. Getting Comfortable With Rejection.
I’ve been left on read more times than I can count. Honestly, the more it happens, the easier it gets. I now know that rejection is part of growth.

12. Am I Doing This for Me or Others?
There will come a point in life when you have to be honest with yourself and ask: Am I making this choice because it makes me happy, or because it makes someone else happy? Sometimes the choices we make are more for others and less for ourselves. This can lead to resentment, not just for us, but for the relationships around us.

That’s it. That’s the game plan for this week.
Make sure to tune in on December 8th for Pt. 2!

Remember, 1% better every day, and small wins are WINS!

We Got This Reaction GIF by New England Patriots

Here’s what the community said they learned this year:

The reward is greater than the risk.

Patience is a tool the enemy hates.

Patience is a form of discipline.

Don’t count on people.

If you aren’t putting yourself in first place then you are putting someone else in your place.

Focus on yourself.

Everybody can’t go.

Stay true to yourself and talk less. Not everyone is on your team.

Leave your coffee for too long it will get cold. Drink it rushing it will burn your tongue.

Thank you to everyone who submitted!
