QUOTE OF THE WEEK

WHAT’S THE GAME PLAN?
23 LESSON FROM 2023
Let me share with you my 23 lessons learned from 2023.
Hopefully, these will inspire you to think about the lessons you learned this year as well.
1. Remember your “why” aka purpose
When times get hard, remembering your “why” will give you that push you need to keep going.
2. Show up daily aka consistency
Consistency just means continuing to show up. It doesn’t matter what kind of rep you put it. All that matters is that you PUT IN THE REP.
3. Roadblocks.
Every time I hit a roadblock, I have to remind myself that it’s all part of the process. Roadblocks are what get us to that next level. We can't fold during these times.
4. Be your own coach.
Maybe you’re being too hard on yourself. Maybe you’re not pushing yourself enough. Just like a coach would, learn how to guide yourself through the good and bad times.
5. Get uncomfortable.
Pivoting the brand, was uncomfortable. Starting a newsletter and staying consistent, was uncomfortable. But the only way to reach new levels is to put ourselves in uncomfortable situations.
6. Sometimes you win, sometimes you learn.
I’ve had so many L’s I’ve lost count. But that hasn’t stopped me from continuing. Take the L as a lesson learned and keep it moving.
7. Focus on yourself.
Focusing on what others think or say will only distract you, and comparing yourself to others will affect your growth. Focus on your lane only.
8. Celebrate your wins.
Every win is worth celebrating, whether you considered it big or small. It doesn’t matter, celebrate it.
9.Time never comes again
The one thing we can’t get back is time. Make each day, moment, and experience count.
10. Hard doesn’t mean impossible.
Just because it’s hard, doesn’t mean it can’t be done. Take on the challenge.
11. Keep learning.
There’s always something new we can learn, especially from others.
12. Stick to the game plan
NGL, I get distracted and I’m unmotivated sometimes, so I have to remind myself to stick to the game plan.
13. Elevation takes separation.
If I want to elevate, I have to separate myself from all the things that are keeping me in the same place.
14. It might not work out.
The reality is sometimes we make a plan and it doesn’t work out. That’s okay. If plan A didn’t work, go ahead and try plan B.
15. Invest in yourself.
I made a lot of bad investments in the past, which makes me reflect on where I could have been if, instead, I had invested on myself. The greatest investment you will ever make is in yourself.
16. Gratitude.
I truly believe gratitude is the key to happiness. In order to make space for more we have to be grateful for what we have in the moment.
17. Say “no”.
Distractions may knock, but mastering the art of saying no can keep us on track.
18. Me vs me
Me vs me means realizing that the only person standing in your way is yourself.
19. Protect your energy.
Energies are contagious. Stick with those with a positive mindset and energy. Stick with those that encourage your growth and inspire your mind.
20. Walks are underrated
You’re probably surprised to see this on here but honestly walks are underrated. I kept seeing people talking about going on walks without their phones so this year I decided to give it try. All I can say is, game changer. I’ll let you see for yourself. Try it, and thank me later.
21. Quality over quantity.
In friendships, in what you eat, what you spend money on, how you spend your time. Think quality over quantity.
22. Believe in yourself
Honestly, I think this is the first step to achieving anything. There really is no step 2 or 3, unless you first believe you are capable of achieving the thing you are trying to achieve.
23. Life is good.
If there’s one thing I know for sure it’s this. Even through the ups and downs, life is good.
That’s it. That’s the game plan.
I hope this inspires you to think about the lessons you learned in 2023.
Think about what you will take with you in 2024, and what you will leave behind in 2023.
Remember, 1% better every day, and small wins are WINS!
