AFFIRMATION OF THE WEEK
I will speak life into my vision.
(this affirmation is inspired by this post I saw this week by Gold Haze on Threads.)
WHAT’S THE GAME PLAN?
Affirm, Believe, Achieve
Some of you might think affirmations are cheesy. I did too… until I did them every night for a week.
This week, I’ve been locked in on my affirmations, and here’s what I realized ⬇️
1.HOW WE SPEAK TO OURSELVES MATTERS
When you start writing affirmations, negative thoughts will creep in. I noticed it myself, every time I tried to write something positive, the negative ones would sneak in. It’s wild how easy it is to default to negativity.
But after a week of practice, something shifted. The more I wrote affirmations, the easier it became to ignore the negative ones.
Words aren’t just words. They shape our beliefs, and beliefs show up in our actions. If you tell yourself you can’t, every action you take will prove it. If you tell yourself you can, every action you take will prove it too.
2.WE SET OUR OWN LIMITS
Most of the time, it’s not someone else telling us what we can or can’t do, it’s our own beliefs. But this is a powerful thing to realize, because if we have control over our thoughts, we also have control over our actions. We might not control every outcome, but we can control how we respond, show up, and the steps we take.
That’s why affirmations are important. Writing down positive statements is a way to train your mind and remind yourself of what you can do. Every time you reinforce a positive thought, you give yourself a little more control over how you show up in life.
3.BELIEVE THE WORLD WORKS IN YOUR FAVOR

How you see the world can change everything. If you believe the world is against you, you’ll create excuses and let them hold you back. But if you believe the world is rigged in your favor, you start approaching every situation differently, with optimism, focus, and action.
Beliefs shape how you experience life. Choosing to see the world as working for you, not against you, changes your perspective and how you respond to challenges.
I’m not a pro at affirmations, but I see the benefit they have. And even in this short time, I’ve noticed a shift:
I stop beating myself up over negative thoughts. I know it’s normal, so I let them come, but I don’t let them stay for long.
I remind myself of the times I got through hard times (that’s an affirmation in itself).
I hope you speak some positivity into yourself this week.
That’s it. That’s the game plan for this week.
Remember, 1% better every day, and small wins are WINS!
