QUOTE OF THE WEEK

WHAT’S THE GAME PLAN?
A GAME PLAN FOR STAYING LOCKED IN

I have a quick short story. A few months ago, I started another newsletter. Long story short I was getting overwhelmed and stressed because I was feeling like I had added too much on my plate. Then, two weeks ago, I saw a post that said. “There’s your team, your purpose, your product, your customers, and your users. The rest is noise.”

After seeing that, I thought to myself, am I where I want to be with the Ball Club brand. Am I where I want to be with my current newsletter? The answer was obviously no.

So, I said to myself, wth are you doing starting something new and adding more responsibilities for yourself. If I know what my priorities are and what my focus is, the rest is just noise. Starting something new did not align with my purpose and goals. So I put that other project on pause.

Today’s game plan is all about staying locked in, because at the end of the day, we’re human and distractions do creep in.

3 tips for staying locked in ⬇️

1. Ignore the noise

It's so easy to get distracted by all the extra stuff that doesn't really matter. Like me, for example, trying to start a whole new thing while I already have goals I’m still trying to accomplish.

How can you ignore the noise?
Try this: Make a list of your goals/purpose.
When you feel overwhelmed or uncertain, refer back to this list.
If a task doesn't fit/ match or go with what’s on your list, consider it noise.
Focus on what truly moves you forward.

2. The Kobe System

Kobe Bryant’s training schedule is a perfect example of how important systems are for reaching goals. Kobe Bryant, one of the greatest basketball players trained 4 times a day. This shows that having a goal isn't enough. You need a system, a set of daily routines and habits to help you get there.

So, this year, let’s focus on our daily actions, not just our goals, to make progress toward where we want to be.

3. Fall in love with it

I may not be where I want to be, but I’m enjoying every step of the process. Are you?
How do you know if you’re in love with the process?
Trust me, you’ll know. You’ll stop caring about the little setbacks. Instead, you’ll take on challenges with an open mind and continue to show up, even on the days you don’t want to.
Embrace the journey. Take the time to enjoy, feel grateful and be proud of where you are.

Okay. That’s it. That’s the game plan.
We’re locked TF all year. Let’s go!

Remember, 1% better every day, and small wins are WINS!
